The long and the short is that I bought a brand new, that's never been owned before, motorhome.
They've been pushing the 2008's at 40% off. I know I was going to hang on to this one, but lately the list of things to fix is growing. Of course, by the time I got to town, the 2008's are pretty much gone.
They did decide to get rid of a 2006 that never got sold. It seems when people are looking at new, they usually want big. This one was just my size, 30'r and happens to be a "Georgetown" motorhome, Cadilac of the industry which is owned by Warren Buffet. So the price, besides the size on this one, had probably turned people off. They lowered it by 30,000 gave me a hefty trade-in, and I am getting it for very little cash out of pocket. My credit union is giving me 4.99 interest, so my payments are 1/2 again the old one and a few more years to pay and I'm into it.
You won't believe how fancy this one is, larger slide in the couch and dinette, another in the kitchen, and one in the bedroom with twice the wardrobe and drawers than I have now. The ceiling is 7', and 1 more step coming up than I have now, so the whole profile is higher. Supposed to be ready Mon and I'll get transferred on their lot. This 2006 still has the full 36,000 mi or 36 month warranty.
The tires are 22's instead of 19' and look huge. I can't wait to get it on the road. That does not mean I will be home earlier, but am anxious for all of you to see it. Judy and Frank came to visit today and helped me get these pictures loaded. After looking at so much, one gets confused. I thought I remembered big roomy outside storage, a built in vacuum, and full body paint job. Well, that was definitely on a different one, these leave something to be desired, guess I'll have less junk to carry, hang on to my bissel, and reflect the sun better with white. See you soon, Jeannie
